SURFACE PREPARATION FOR COATING
1. Clean thoroughly the surface and leave it to dry and dust
free.
2. Brush away loose contamination on the substrate to be
coated.
3. Bio-wash for killing fungus and rust where necessary.
4. If the metal sheet has rust, or damaged, it has to be sanded
with a special sand paper and remove the rust without
damaging the surface.
5. On the sanded Surface, apply a zinc primer that will protect
steel galvanized against corrosion and other defects.
6. Roughen surfaces by wire brush manually.
7. All surfaces must be clean and free from laitance, dust, dirt,
oil and grease.
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT
Equipment needed for Spray: Listed below are the general
equipment guidelines for the application of this product.
Airless Sprayer: Pump Ratio: 33:1 or larger Volume: 1.5 gpm (5.7
lpm) or greater Hose: 3/8” or larger with no more than 3’ of 1/4”
whip. 1/2” hose recommended for Length above 50’. Tip Size:
0.017” (for tight spots) 0.019 0.023” (normal use) Pressure:
Minimum of 3,000 PSI Small Spray Applications Brushes and
paint rollers may be needed in some areas.
MIXING AND APPLICATION
1. Thoroughly mix the contents of containers using
stirrer/mixer.
2. Over-Mixing more than 5 minutes may destroy particles,
thereby reducing insulating capabilities.
3. Stir the paint occasionally before each use.
4. Apply first coat with lower than 300 Micron thickness. Wait 2
to 3 hours to dry before the application of the second coat.
5. Apply the second and final coat and reach the final thickness
of 400 Micron, both the first and the second coat together.
6. After completion of full coating, it should be allowed to cure
for 24 hrs. Drying time may vary due to temperature / humidity
and surface condition.
7. Ensure that the coated area does not come in contact with
water for at least one hour. Apply with a quality brush, or
roller.
